I have seen a lot of posts flying around with ideas for Easter baskets...so I thought maybe I would share what's going in ours as of right now, I also have a few other little homemade things.
DePaola's "The Garden of the Good Shepherd" (reusable)
our Ikea products from Italy and Austria
and these books, some new, some from Amazon, some from a thrift store.
First Communion Days, you can also buy here, The Saving Name of God the Son, The Legend of St. Anthony (not on Amazon at all) I love this website by the way. Please tell them my blog directed you.
We love chickens round here...just ask our friends and family...so naturally we are drawn to eggs of all sizes and colors..
Could that be St. Kateri perhaps??
Playmobil eggs...these are so cute, they loved their Advent Calendars so much and talk with fondness of them, so I thought this little surprise was perfect.
AND if you own chickens- well you know you're getting a couple dozen eggs per week right now...WHY NOT BUY EGG WRAPS?? These are beautiful! Order from Best Pysanky's website directly, everywhere else is OVER PRICED.
again from that awesome website
I have no words...this is how I found here upon arrival at home. The backseat was silent after 9 pm. We arrived close to midnight I think.
holding onto her IKEA kitty
good thing she is young and resilient...
See how she ingeniously pinned her legs and ankles behind her car seat? Then she was guaranteed to not fall! lol So good to stay buckled too.
I LOVE IKEA...never stepped foot into a store until Sunday. Have you been?? I own all their second hand stuff off Craigslist and I love looking at their products online, but we just got a store in KC and I made the trek with my mom, dad, and kids, and one brave brother for the afternoon. (My dad almost didn't make it- he can't shop till you drop, he hasn't the stamina required for IKEA..lol)
Does it look like we are in a park? Nope that's the mural..
my brave brother who always is willing to babysit my kids alone...God Bless you Jon!
yum sums it's up
Since the dear hubs couldn't come along, I bought him wine glasses...guess where they are made? If you guessed France you are right!
can you read the tag? Sorry, it's probably a lost cause, but I will continue
Dot markers- with animals' faces and water color pencils...ever hear of those?
those were made in Italy and Austria
My Polish tea lights...they smell so good. I don't think I will ever buy candles anywhere else now.
Of course I bought frozen meatballs and the gravy powder and Lingon berry jelly and Lingon juice box...
...and couple other things. Anyone up for another road trip?
OK, here's the real reason we went to KC. To hear Jon play the guitar at Mass.
AND then on the way home....it really deserves it's own post... I will put the pictures up in the next one.
This was a the best feast day party yet...
aww... sorry it's blurry- it's the light rain we were getting, pleasant and no wind.
not sure why he laid down here but he was showing me something
Litany to St. Joseph
a full and sparkling garage full of people- 45ish?
Kids with their dad on St. Joseph's Feast.
Viva San Guiseppe!
