July sales, elephants, swim lessons and berry picking, jamming, Sacred and Immaculate Heart tree altars, rock climbing...
I will try to go in order from my title.
Have you guys been to Walmart at all lately? They have some seriously cute knit skirts, with stripes and chevron patterns. And they had plenty of cute tops as well to match. They were all clearancing them this week too, $5- $9 a skirt. Greys, stripes, coral pink, chevron, blue/grey, black, red, all nice solid colors too.
See the baby, she was so tired of being in the dressing room, thank goodness boogie boy came with me that day. It was his Baptismal Feast day. I think I bought 7 or 8 skirts in all. Then I got matching tops and I spent $99. I couldn't be more excited ;)
Okay moving on...
Our Zoo...just visit it, it's world class.
I have the most hilarious video of this young male elephant swimming and chasing the ducks and geese. The tiger was even swimming that day as well.
Speaking of swimming, they all passed swimming!
It happened to be Brenden's Baptismal Feast day this week, so he had a good week! He even got a late birthday present from his Godmother and Godfather, Auntie Erin and Uncle Nate, it timed with his feast day!
God Bless our police men!
Don't know why I can't find Knox leaping off the board. On the last day Brenden went without his life vest off the boards. No fears! It was great.
We went when Knox was a toddler and was talking, at that point we picked raspberries, ooh they were so good. Today we went for blackberries (their raspberries are non existent right now).
He didn't do much picking...lol He was ready to leave after 15 mins.
Sweet Genna kept finding him shady places to sit and berries to eat..what a good sister! I just ignored his whining to be honest. Genna was waay more patient than I was! ;) lol
We made blackberry jam and triple berry chia seed jam, I have no idea if you can do that, but I did it anyway.
Genna is learning for 4-H for next years fair. (Even the boys are learning to preserve and can).
We need more for Knox's feast day and our homeschool's feast day in September.
Yes, I had the kids trying to help with the hysterical baby. She woke up and screamed and was unconsolable, right. when. I. couldn't leave the stove. She even had projectile spit up...lol OH the souls that were popped from purgatory for the love of blackberry jam!
Chia yes I slipped some in, there are already a ton of seeds.
Oh it tastes so good, we couldn't wait and opened some for breakfast the next morning.
My mom with Zoe in her pool.
See the Roman soldier getting the mail?
One is in the front the other in the back, they can be seen from all our window's. It will be cool this winter to see them in the snow.
So we have been trying to do stuff to keep us cool in doors since Kansas is officially hotter than hell in July, it's true I saw it on Facebook!
Having the YMCA waterpark empty and to ourselves is a blessing!
We have a program called Kids Bowl for Free. It's just the cost of shoe rental, which is around $9. My kids love bowling, and it's indoors!
Stay cool my friends!
